Very nice umbilical cord
as reason, as audiomulch,.

Any source to download that look like???

ur work is amazing!!!

Obviously you got a physics degree or something but I want to learn too!!! What book or site do you recommend for learning basics (I wanna do something like this without copying your fla)?

Also I vote for a source of this example too ;)

Hey Andre,

I have set up a similar experiment, but I was wondering how you wrote your code to make the cable have a gradient. Right now I have it so it is just a solid. Can you send me the specific code you used to create that effect?

Thanks.

I’d love to see how this is done too. Especially if it is AS2.0 class-based. Instead of a gradient you could just create 3 lines with varying thicknesses which is what this looks like if you look close enough. I’m working on some hardware simulations that involve cables and getting something like this down would just rock. I’m reading Foundation Actionscript Animation - Making Things Move. There’s a section on kinematics and I’m trying to base what I’m doing off that. So, include myself as one who would like to see a sample source file.

Awesome work Andre!

My compliments..

wow I felt just like I was in reason! Maybe because you took some graphics from it :P Great job!

Great job!
Any chance to see the source to see how it is done? I would love to learn from it.
Thanks and keep the good work!
Saludos!

… wow… a rope which connects to a hole.

Sorry but I’m not seeing or hearing anything.

Hey, The cables are amazing. I would love for you to show me how to create cables like this or please send me a source file. Thanks in advanced.

I like this. I would be nice to see the source.

I’ve seen something similar in Reason (a modular music software) but here the movement is smoother.

antoniobrandao wrote...

very nice indeed but has one imperfection: if you hold the tip of a cable right above the hole, the cable passes behind that given hole. pretty good though smooth like reason’s

Awesome, but I too would like to see the code, please. Very nice, indeed!
