This is a very simple particle system drawing their movement-paths with lines. They are actually moving in 2D, but from time to time the resulting image looks like 3D.

silly rabbit - all graphics on a computer are done in 2d, but from time to time they look 3d. It’s just that we use ethods for drawing 3d space in 2d that hide the 2d-ness from the user.
