Really really nice, I wonder what limits you expect to reach with AS3 3D programmin?

Alfred wrote...

very good job!, lease lend me the .fla code !

Ales wrote...

Amazing! Fast and fluent! Have you ever think over sharing code of your 3D engine?

phil wrote...

The performance is low, the processing engine is much better. I hope Adobe will spend more Time in basic Runtime engine Programming than in effekt math

Hi,

This is great - I am interested in licensing this engine from you for a project of mine. Is that a possibility?

thanks

No anti-aliasing? Just kiddin!
Good job!

Glenn wrote...

You can always anti-alias somewhat with bitmap smoothing on the buffer and resize accordingly

Here’s some more open source raycasting & such.

like the first issues of Wolfenstein. Just perfect!
Now where are them Nazis?

pingnak wrote...

A game based on the same raycaster as above, but back-ported to AS2 because they wanted Flash 8 compatibility.

Thought I’d give it a go, but only been programming AS3 for two days :)
Still needs a bit of work, but was easy enough to get up and running. AS3 is a lot like JavaC/C#.

Wow. this is really cool. I’m currently optimizing a raycaster i wrote in MS QuickBASIC. It took me a month to get the trigonometry right (i’m only in eighth grade), but now I’m on a roll trying to find how to make the graphics faster.

Wah! mine only does 15 fps maximum at 320×200!

It has some bugs, sometimes the cubes had invisible sides.
