Well, this is not an exact clone of the Roland TB 303, but I like the sound of this little synthesizer. Thanks Frank Baumgartner for the first introducing steps. Click in the flashmovie to have keyfocus and press any key to randomize the pattern.

Hello All

I am a computer engineering student from National University of Singapore. I was wondering whether any kind soul could kindly enlighten me on the following issue.

I need to do a term project which requires getting the raw audio data from the microphone – soundmix.computespectrum() doesn’t work on Microphone class or dynamically generated sound.

I have gone through the process of loading a dynamically generated sound as swf bytearray so that I can use .computespectrum() to get the raw data. However, I do not know how to create a swf byte array from the microphone. It seems that flash only starts to record the mic sound once it is published to the FMS. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

Is there a way to work around this? Your help will be greatly appreciated

Regards,
Kasidit

Simply put: It is not possible.

Andre have you ever played with Rebirth 2? I can see this being remade in Flash and you becoming famous-er. It was two 303’s and an 808 kick drum. mmmmm drop!

Well it says you need a fast computer for this demo (which I have), but Firefox shows precisely 0% usage at all times! I’m guessing that this means that there are more promising things that can be done with this–one could probably go as far as developing an entire synth/sequencer in AIR if they were so inclined. It would have been nice to have more help from Adobe on this one though…

awesome! did use use flex builder to create this or flashcs3?

The oscillator is difficult to match in the 303, but nice work on the filter! It does have a nice throaty resonance. What kind of a filter structure do you use? Do you model any nonlinearity in the filter or feedback path?
