Andreas Gysin had built Kiddysinth with Shockwave in 2001. It is a cute audio toy. Cause I liked it that much I have coded a Flash version with the new Sound API. I want to make it more dynamic in future and add some nice graphics and animations for my daughter. Til then check out the source code to see how it works.

The particles have their own note value, while the wheels affect their octave. Drag them all to alter the melody.

very cool. would love to be able to save the configuration, maybe even assign other notes or sound clips to the nodes. also, the ability to pause the sinners, add fins, shorten or lengthen them and change the spinning speed would be super cool!

I will definitely take care about all this, when it will be part of the Hobnox Audiotool as a cute sequencer unit.

Nice, Andre!

Would love to see this as an iPhone app as well.

Wow! I love this.
I’ve been trying to find out about the FP10 Sound API, so thanks for sharing the source to this. I can’t wait for this and more to be added to the Audiotool.

Don’t understand why jobs says “flash is not up to task for the iphone”. Is he too scared that flash will be too cool for the iphone, that very few developers will program in objective-C?

Is this possible with FP9 and the sound hack method ?

I love it! The sound is so relaxing. Sorta reminds me of Bonobo or The Postal Service.

wow. so I have a snare drum sitting in my office, and sure enough it picks up all the vibrations from my tiny Logitech speakers on such a low volume.

very cool stuff, make a touch screen/iphone interface.

you could sell it, and do a online demo to real in people… g’luck with ur future plans!

the 3 axis have 2 diferent rotating speed, so it would be nice if all of them rotate with the same speed, or either 3 different velocities. (in every disposition)
Another posibility wold be that the speed varied along all the board. (experimental)
:) nice game by the way!

will these toys be added to the hobnox audiotool at some time soon? As they are all wonderful and would love to create something with these plug-ins.
